Hello and Welcome.
My name is Stephanie Bedford and my horses Wӓhlen, (pronounced Valen) and I would like to welcome you to my
(our) web site. This site is dedicated to my love of the equestrain sport of Dressage, my
love of horses and to provide information of my progress in the sport.

The competition season is complete and Stephanie's accomplishments were achieved with great success.
This was Stephanie's first official season riding at the "National Level". Stephanie competed at the Junior Young Rider Level
(under age 18 ) and was able to finish the qualifying season with a 3rd overall ranking going into the
North American Juniors and Young Riders' (NAJYRC) Championships in KY
as well as the USEF National Dressage Festival of Champions in New Jersey.
Competing against her peers from across the regions and the nation, as well as canada and Mexico,
Stephanie was able to help her team and well as earn for herself a 3rd place finish at the NAJYRC and placing 5th in freestyle.
Two weeks later she again competed against her peers At the Dressage Festival in NJ finishing a solid 4th place in both the team and indivisual ride,
acheiving and finishing 4th for the championships and for the seasons final ranking.
Stephanie will take time off for the next several months to concentrate on her freshman year in college where she is attending the University of Georgia (UGA)
before beginning her training in early spring for next seasons competition at the "Young Rider's" level. Stephanie's first national season
was a success and a great beginning to her national level riding career.

Headed to 2010 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions (7/19/2010)Stephanie has been invited and will be heading to Gladstone, NJ the second weekend in August (8/13-8/15) to compete again some of her fellow teammates as well with other national riders in the 2010 Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions. This competition serves as the USEF National Dressage Championships in five different divisions, showcasing the nation’s best horse/rider combinations in the Junior, Young Rider, Young Adult "Brentina Cup", Intermediaire I, and Grand Prix divisions.

The Collecting Gaits Farm/USEF Dressage Festival of Champions and Stephanie had an excellent weekend of competition.
On Friday (8/13/10) Stephanie rode and scored a 67.56% which earned her the 4th Place finish of the day in the Team Ride. On Saturday (8/14/10) Stephanie rode her Individual Ride for a score of 66.15% which she again placed 4th for the ride. Both rides combined earned her an overall 4th Place finish for the weekend, scoring a combined 66.86%.

Headed to NAJRYC Championships (7/1/2010)Stephanie has been invited and will be heading to Lexington, KY the last weekend in July (7/28-7/31) to compete with her fellow teammates for the North American Juniors and Young Riders' (NAJYRC) Championships. This competition is for the top 4 riders in the each regions of the US. Stephanie is the top rider in Region 3 and will lead the team at this championship. Each rider will participate in both a team event as well as an individual. Then the top 15 riders in the country will face off in the musical freestyle event.

The NAJRYC Championships are completed and combined Region 3&4 riders were able to score an acheive the Bronze Medal in the team ride (7/28/10). The riders (picture link below ) are Clare Krska, Stephanie Bedford (C), Rebecca Cohen, and Alexandra Kitchen. Congratulations to the riders.

On Friday (7/30/10) Stephanie rode and scored a 67.632% which earned her the Individual Bronze Medal. Read about it on the FEI.Org web site --> Click Here
With her combined scored from team and individual she qualified to ride the Freestyle event on Saturday (7/31/10) where Stepanie placed fifth among competitors. Her teammate Clare Krska also qualified for the freestyle where she placed 10th. It was an exciting and sucessful week for Stephanie and her teammates.
